2. Super
Group Trading:
Super Group was founded by its current
CEO, Dr Larry Lipschitz, in 1987 with the acquisition of the
then ailing Super Rent Truck Hire. Over the next 10 years, Super
Group expanded into full maintenance leasing, third party
distribution and established national truck repair centres which
resulted in it being the largest privately-owned transport
company in South Africa prior to listing on the JSE Securities
Exchange in 1996.
Since
listing, Super Group has achieved compound revenue and operating
income growth of 30% and 31% respectively. Management has
successfully managed its transition into an integrated supply
chain business which currently has a market capitalisation in
excess SAR1.8 billions

has two primary operating divisions, namely Supply Chain and

Super Group stakeholders.

increasing number of contracts being won proves this division’s
ability to manage and implement complex supply chain solutions.
The Automotive division constitutes Dealerships and Automotive
Parts, the leader in the wholesale and retail of automotive
parts to the after-sales market. These two core operating
divisions are supported by a service division, comprising group
treasury and insurance.
